Family! what is going on out there in the states? How are
you guys?
This week might have been one of the craziest in my life but
at the same time probably one of the best and most Exciting!..... So im
training..Again :), Elder Manzano de Cordoba Argentina. This kid is a ful,
Seriously such a capo. HE is pretty tall , outgoing and has a super strong
testimony, hes seriously coming out here pre trained and we hit it off way good
from the start. He has a good work ethic so were excited, were goign to do big
things this transfer... ON top of training, Me and the 3rd son are oppening a
brand new area!!! a full! Its a town called Junin and its the most beautiful
amazing city I have ever been in my life. Our misison is in Buenos Aires but
there is one zone, well now 2 ( the just divided the zone) that is far, super
far from the rest , capital, the offices, seriously in the middle of nowhweere,
todo campo. Your boy is out here in Cilvicoy se llama :) ha ha 5 hour bus ride
on freeway from capital and seriously so different from everywhere else in the
msison and everything else iv ever known in my life :)) Its bee such an
adventure and the thing is, its only begun. Were excited, and like I said are
going to be baptizing and reactivating a ton out here... On top of that im the
distrcit leader as well! everything all at onse.
So its a branch out here and we had attendense of about 20
yesterday. We have a super nice ward building Which literally no one else has
in chilvicoy. OUr area is amazing, like its compo but junin is a big city
within campo, its hard to expain, lok at some pictures though, its incredible,
all coblestone streets, seriously so european, the poeple are so different here
as well and are all super tranquilo. The houses out here though are incredible,
huge, seriously like castles, thats one thing about the area, like super classy
european , huge houses, and the poeple are super open too. Our branch has been
strugling for a while but President sent us out here to set things strainght
and to get the ball moving so were super excited . ha ha one of the first
things bishop did was called me the young mens president ha ha who would have
thunk, me and you have the same caling now dad? :) Alot of responsibility with
all the assignment, but like KObe always comes through in the Clutch Elder
HAwkey is the same, More fundemntally sound and stable but just for you guys to
see the comparison ha ha
Our appartmernt, so the area is being opened for the first
time in a really long time, and the church ownes this huge house like 2 blocks
form the church building. They gave it to us to live in ha ha Its funny though
cause no one had been in there for a super long time so we get in there and its
like all in order and everything but super dirty and old ha ha everything was
literally covered in dust and i swear that it hasnt seen poeple in like 5 years
por o menos. Super nice thoguh and seriously huge. ha ha The water heater is
broken so weve been boiling water on the stove to shower but its all part of
the experiense. Other than that though everything works and we got it all set
up. one room to work out in the mornings, one room to eat, one room to do
studies, one room to sleep, ha ha its seriously a mansion. Ohh ya and its tight
because we have bikes out here as well, the only zone in the misison with
bikes. Of corse their super old and broken but were getting them fixed this
week so it should be good.
IM seriously just living the dream out here thoguh, seriosly
An elder couldnt ask for more :) IM supoer excited to open the new area and to
train at the same time, its going to be an amazing experiense and im for sure
going to learn alot out here.. ONe thing I learned this week is that the Lord
really does know whats best for us, and he really does protect and guide us to
do his sacred work. Its been like a half week but web had experienses that are
truely incredible, truely miracles. We have found a ton of poeple out herre
that are super prepared and like I said things that were just meant to be. ONe
thing we always say, but is so tue is "no hay ningun casualidad en la obra
del Senor" there so such thing as chanse in the work of the Lord: I know
that to be true, witout a doubt. This is the Lords work and he helps so much to
lead and guide us, each and everyone of us.All we have to do is be humble , ask
for his giudanse and will and be ready , treuly ready to do whatever he tals us
to. Thats when normal pople, 20 year old kids out here, are hands in the Lords
to treuly see miracles... aww the misssion,. the best ever!!
A quick lil experiense: so after the transfer meeting we had
a little meeting with all the deatils and what not about the new zone. When i
left Ciudad Evita i thoguht i would be going close so i literally had 5 bags 2
crates and a backpack ha ha in the meeting the tell us we have to get to the
station in 40 minutes to cathch the double decker bus to campo. We were running
throug capital with all the stuff and we get there right as its about to leave.
You can only puy 3 bags below the bus so i gave soem to my comapniopn and a
sistert that was travleing with and we stored them away. I still had a my
backpack and 2 friut crates of stuff. I had to take them on bourd the bud with
me... ha ha and of corse we were at the verry back on the second level as well
, so we get in the seats and their super tiny, pero mal ha ha long stoy short,
we take a 5 hour bus ride with a crate and backpack on the lap with my feet on
the crate with my knees literally in my face, super funny, you gotta do what
you gotta do thoguh, we made it safe thoguh with all our stuff and rolled into
te city at about 1:30 in the morning ha ha with all the bags off we went with a
key they gave us and piese of paper that said the adress ha ha we finally found
it thoguh and made it to the mansion safe and sound with all the stuff :)
seriosly livin the dream out here, the best experiense in the world!
Love you guys, hope you have an awesome week!
Aloha,
Elder Hawkey (Distrcit leader, Trainer, Young Mens president
ha ha )
